Meet me

Sci-Fi, Startups, and a Poodle

By day, I'm a creative business developer and marketer. By night, I'm usually looking up: a lifelong Sci-Fi fan fascinated by the vast, unexplored universe (which probably explains why designed this website's theme). I'm always looking to explore a new destination, but I'm happiest at home with my better half and our little French poodle, Sabrina.

Act I: The (Too) Stable Path

My story isn't exactly traditional. I was born in Germany to a migrant family from Bosnia, and at 15, I started a five-year apprenticeship and work journey at an insurance company. It was a stable, predictable path, but I felt restless. I was underwhelmed. I knew I wanted to make a bigger impact and, honestly, I wanted to see the world. So far, I'd hardly been anywhere.

Act II: Finding the 'Click' (and California)

So, I took a leap. I went back to school to study Finance, a journey that finally took me on my first real international adventures, a year abroad in California and later a semester in France. It was during my Master's in Munich that everything clicked. I was fascinated by innovation, and studying finance, I naturally fell into the emerging world of (Fin)Tech. I was hooked, and even wrote my thesis on it.

Act III: The Unicorn Ride (15 to 700+)

After graduating, I dove straight into the startup world. I had the privilege of joining Solaris as part of the small, pre-Series A team. It was the definition of "building the plane as it was flying"—I was one of the first 15 team members and got to experience the entire hyper-growth ride from a tiny office to a 700-person unicorn. It was a wild, formative five years.

Act IV: The Great Detour (or, How I Got 'Stuck' in Colombia)

After that sprint, and coming out of the COVID crisis, that old restlessness returned. I felt the pull to see the world again. I packed my bags for South America, offering freelance services as I went. After traveling through Mexico and Panama, I arrived in the beautiful, chaotic, and vibrant country of Colombia... and promptly "got stuck" for the next several years.

Act V: Farms, Fiancées, and a New Chapter

It was an incredible chapter. I traveled the whole country, lived on a farm, started a few side businesses, and, most importantly, was lucky enough to meet my fiancée. After many wonderful years, we've now started a new chapter, bringing our little family (poodle included) back to Germany.
